Cookies Policy

Cookies are small pieces of data stored by your browser. Websites use them to remember things, keep sessions working, protect forms, or support other site features.

This page also explains similar browser storage used by LUSAJE, such as localStorage for likes.

LUSAJE uses a strictly necessary Membear session cookie when you log in or become a Membear.

Name	Used for	Duration
lusaje_membear_session	Keeps a Membear signed in, links the browser to a hashed session record in Cloudflare D1, and allows private profile features to work.	Up to 30 days, unless you log out, reset access, are suspended, or complete account deletion sooner.

This cookie is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure on HTTPS. Because it is needed to provide logged-in Membear features, it is not controlled by a marketing consent banner.

LUSAJE uses browser localStorage for public like buttons. This helps remember that your browser has liked a public item and creates a casual visitor ID so Cloudflare D1 can reduce duplicate likes.

LocalStorage is stored in your browser rather than sent automatically with every request like a cookie. You can clear it through your browser settings. Clearing it may reset whether the like button remembers previous likes from that browser.

Public forms such as comments, Café notes, contact messages, Membear registration, and password reset requests use Cloudflare Turnstile where configured.

Turnstile helps check that a form submission is likely to be human and may use cookies or similar signals as part of Cloudflare's anti-abuse checks. The Turnstile token is verified server-side before the form is accepted.

The admin area is protected by Cloudflare Access. If you are an authorised admin, Cloudflare Access may set cookies or use similar browser storage to keep the admin session secure.

These cookies are for admin authentication and security. They are not used for advertising by LUSAJE.

LUSAJE does not currently run active analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, open tracking, click tracking, or newsletter tracking.

The site configuration has analytics disabled. If privacy-conscious analytics are added in future, this policy should be updated before they go live.

LUSAJE transactional emails do not include tracking pixels, marketing unsubscribe tracking, or click tracking. They are used for essential account, security, admin notification, and controlled test-email purposes.

You can block, delete, or limit cookies and localStorage through your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, Membear login and private profile features may not work correctly.

Because LUSAJE does not currently use optional advertising or analytics cookies, there is no separate cookie preference centre on the site.

This Cookies Policy may be updated as LUSAJE changes. The last updated date and version number at the top of this page show the current version.
